What Our Pest Control Work Covers
Last updated: October 2026
New York Pest Pros provides the pest-control services listed in your written estimate or service agreement. Depending on the approved scope, work may include inspection, treatment, monitoring, and recommendations for reducing pest access or activity.
Any exclusions, preparation steps, and limits on results will be explained before work begins. Structural repairs, cleanup, wildlife handling, and services not listed in the agreement require separate approval and may require a separate provider.
Pesticide products are applied according to their labels and applicable law, including the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act, 40 CFR Part 156, New York Environmental Conservation Law Article 33, and 6 NYCRR Part 325. The business must meet applicable New York State Department of Environmental Conservation registration requirements, and pesticide applications must be performed by appropriately certified applicators.
Bat handling permits may apply; consult NYSDEC and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Other agencies, including the state health and agriculture departments and Ulster County Department of Health, may have relevant roles.
Booking Visits and Changing an Appointment
Appointments are arranged by phone, email, or another method confirmed by New York Pest Pros. We will provide the scheduled date or arrival window and any instructions needed before the visit. Please make sure an adult can provide access to the areas included in the agreed work and tell us about access restrictions, pets, or relevant safety concerns.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, contact us as soon as possible using the details in these terms. Any cancellation fee or notice requirement will apply only if it was disclosed in your estimate or service agreement. We may need to change a visit because of weather, safety conditions, access problems, or other circumstances; we will contact you to arrange a new time.
If inspection shows that the requested work differs from the approved scope, we will explain the proposed change and any price adjustment. We will not proceed with additional work without your approval, except where action is required by law or to address an immediate safety concern.
How Quotes and Payments Work
An estimate describes the work New York Pest Pros expects to perform based on the information available at the time. It may be revised if an inspection reveals conditions that affect the scope, access, materials, or labor.
The estimate or service agreement will state the services and charges that apply; ask us about anything that is unclear before approving the work. An estimate is not an agreement for services until you accept it through the method provided.
Payment is due according to the terms shown in your approved estimate, invoice, or service agreement. Those documents will identify accepted payment methods and any applicable due date.
No prices or financing terms are promised by this section. If you request work beyond the approved scope, we will describe the added work and related cost and obtain your approval before proceeding.
You are responsible for paying undisputed charges for authorized work. Contact us promptly if you believe an invoice does not match the approved agreement so we can review it with you.
Written Coverage for Completed Work
New York Pest Pros does not promise a particular warranty period or a guaranteed pest-free result through these terms. Any workmanship warranty, retreatment commitment, or other coverage applies only when it is expressly stated in your written estimate or service agreement. That document controls the covered service, duration, conditions, and steps for requesting service under the coverage.
Coverage may depend on following preparation and safety instructions, allowing access for agreed follow-up visits, and addressing conditions identified in the service plan. It may not apply to new pest activity, areas or species outside the approved scope, or conditions caused by factors beyond the completed work. Changes to the property, failure to follow instructions, or additional pest entry may also affect coverage if the written agreement says so.
Please contact us with the service date and a description of the concern. We will review the applicable written terms and explain whether the reported issue falls within any stated coverage. Nothing in this section creates a warranty that is not included in your agreement.
Responsibility for Service-Related Losses
To the extent permitted by law, New York Pest Pros’ responsibility for a claim directly related to a service will not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to that claim. This limit does not apply where applicable law does not allow it, including for liability that cannot legally be waived or restricted. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, hidden conditions, prior pest activity, or losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, where the law permits those limits.
Our work does not replace building repairs, sanitation, or other steps outside the agreed scope. Pesticide products must be used according to their labels and applicable federal and New York requirements, including FIFRA, 40 CFR Part 156, New York Environmental Conservation Law Article 33, and 6 NYCRR Part 325.
Required business registration and applicator certification rules also apply. Nothing here authorizes work that violates those requirements or limits rights that cannot be waived under law.

Daniel Mercer
Service Expert at New York Pest Pros
I started in pest control in the Hudson Valley, where older homes, stone foundations, and changing seasons can bring a steady mix of pest problems. From my home base in Kerhonkson, I built the business around careful inspections and treatments that fit the property and the season.
